Synopsis

A woman’s life is turned upside down when the dog she loves is ripped away in an East London park. This is a story about class discrimination, outdated laws, and the fight to keep dogs with their families.

In March 2025 we shot a proof of concept, starring Kacey Ainsworth (Paula) The proof of concept allowed us to figure out the overall tone and visual world we wanted to create for Paula’s and Lady’s life. We also developed a shooting style and techniques that allowed flexibility when working with the dogs.

We developed an Easy Rig with a gimbal and bungee attached that allowed us to follow the journey from dog height, this let us see the world from Lady’s perspective. We had multiple breeds on the shoot, all with their own quirks and personalities. We had Canine Behaviourist Mark Bridger-Prescott on set with us and guidance prior to the shoot from multiple animals handlers and filmmakers.
