Synopsis

A British indie romcom with a distinctly European sense of humour (think Maren Ade’s TONI ERDMANN meets Mike Mills’ BEGINNERS with a heavy dose of Mike Leigh kitchen-sink comedy) tackling the subjects we just don’t like talking about (immigration, false nostalgia, inherited trauma) all set within an engaging, playful and grounded family dynamic, located in one of Britain’s most overlooked cities.

While making amends to her jingoistic Brexit-voting family, uptight recovering alcoholic Stacey falls in love with the ‘worst’ possible person – eccentric visiting German, Dennis.
